Speaker Reception, Concert, & Dance
Join the Expo speakers for an hour of conversation and connection. We’ve invited them to the Los Angeles Ballroom at 6:30 for some hors d’oeuvres and beverage refreshments. Mingle and talk. Exchange business cards and photos.
The celebration begins at 7 pm with a live performance of ancestral music from the Maya, Aztec, Tamahumara, Tepehuane, Yaqui and other pre-Hispanic peoples of Meso-America. Xavier Quijas Yxayot will be playing traditional rhythms on ancient instruments which he has mostly hand-crafted. This pre-Columbian music was prohibited for 300 years due to the intensity and deep spiritual impact it has on people.
As the Speaker Reception and Concert winds down, the Salsa Band winds up for a night of dancing and fun. Then the Expo starts up again early on Sunday.
