On October 30, 2007, Richard C. Hoagland presided over a press briefing at the prestigious National Press Club in downtown Washington DC regarding the recent publishing success of Dark Mission: the Secret History of NASA. and the continuing investigation into NASA’s secrets and inner workings. Remarkably, NO US newspapers or television networks carried ANY stories on the briefing. By stark contrast, a wide variety of Russian media reported full details of the event and the largest commercial Russian television network – NTV – sent a TV crew all the way from Moscow to New Mexico to interview Hoagland and his “chief witness”, Dr. Ken Johnston, former Data and Photo Manager of NASA’s Lunar Receiving Laboratory during the Apollo program. Four Russian television networks attended the 2-hour briefing, in addition to press from several other nations.
